Lulaby (by Solan)

Lulaby

And the skies were trembling
And falling down
Earth was crumbling
With a threatening sound

But I - I kept singing my lulaby.

People were screaming
Nowhere to go
The devil's sceeming
All made it a show

Yet I - I kept singing my lulaby.

And though you are sleeping
God knows for how long
I won't start weeping
Just singing my song

Sitting will I keep singing my lulaby.

Elves

Elven life, shining out of their eyes
endlessly, happy
Elven eyes, staring out at me
smiling, shiny

and the wind blows so soft
the water-drops so soft
the ground and the rays of the sun, too

Elven songs, hidden in their souls
melody, mystery
Elven magic, fascinating me
stronger than any misery

and the wind blows so soft
the water-drops so soft
the ground and the rays of the sun, too
and their life make us cry
they're hiding oh-so shy
in the trees, among the streets, in the seas, too

if you ever had a dream
an elven world have seen
you never forget, you never forget
if you ever heard their voices
fading all the choices
you never forget, you never forget
lost in a dream...

Ruins

The signs of civilisation
I have been wandering among
Lost wonders of ancient creation
Now no more; a fading song

Stone by stone
Step by Step
Nature - trap
Feeling home?

Enter the once proud towers
But doing so puts you in danger
The passing of countless hours...
Time is the greatest changer

Acid rain pours from the clouds
Nature itself is corrupt
Cities are lost in the shrouds
Of fires ev'rywhere do erupt

Stone by stone
Step by Step
Nature - trap
Feeling home?

The houses reduced to rubble
Survivors hiding in fear
Ev'ry step might end in trouble
If not the ruins are near
